The First Nations room, open to all Eagle View Elementary students, is a busy and vibrant location. Here students are able to access personal support and academic resources to work independently, in groups or with adult support to complete homework assignments and projects in addition to studying for tests and improving study and social skills. The Homework Zone is open daily from 8:30 – 9:00 and 12:00--12:30. Parents are welcome and encouraged to stop by during any of these times to share a meal or work with their children. During class time, the ‘First Nations Education Worker’ may be found here supporting one or more students or providing support to students and staff in classrooms. A First Nations’ content lending library is also available.
Supported by Breakfast for Learning, Harvest Food Bank, and individual sponsors, We believe a healthy lifestyle includes following the Canada Food Guide to promote learning for life.
